We want you to take your animal home and proudly display it on your wall, floor or where ever the mount allows and tells stories for years to come of that special day. When cutting bear for rug or life size stop at ankles leaving each paw. Do not cut further. Bear skins are prone to hair loss and slippage if not cooled down properly. Do not roll up hide if still warm as the middle would go bad. Lay hide out to cool either in freezer or cooler before bagging.

This works with any shoulder mount. Almost all animals will have a hair line or color line one the back of the legs. Follow this line and stay out of the arm pits. If you are wanting a pedestal mount keep more hide than the line behind the shoulder.

Outcome of your mount is influenced greatly by initial care after kill! Please keep cold until you can get to me. Try to keep animal clean and dry. If left in water for long periods of time it wil cause bacteria. Keep all hair and hide under the ice. If it is a pronghorn please please keep out of the blood as they have hollow hair and will stain. All light haired animals are prone to staining.
